well, a new chapter in my worklife begins. i threw my name in the hat, and i was included on the latest batch of hosting agents. i had been asked a few times over the past couple of years, yet it was only  two weeks earlier that i had accepted the "challenge". last week was spent on training, and it was quite an overwhelming experience, due to the number of things that we needed to learn. i guess it was a long time coming, as some of the newer batches already thought that i was trained for it 'coz of my tenure. today marks the first day that i'm officially in "technical support". am i excited? not really... 'coz right now i'm still doing what i've been doing: processing emails. at the very least, i can officially add this to my resumé... LOLz~

since we're talking about changes here, i'm contemplating on switching my DSL provider. lately my internet connection is acting up, and i can't surf and queue my downloads properly. i've already reported it and eventhough a technician came to the house to check on it, he wasn't able to do much.

also, i'm thinking about the torrentbox project i mentioned in my latest round-up post. i'm still reading about it on this forum i frequent, and i'm having trouble understanding some of the concepts indicated there! but then again, this will still depend on the switch that i'm currently thinking about...

now i know i said that if i ever resign from my current job, i would never work at a call center again. looks like i may have to renege on that... seeing as there are no possible alternatives at this time. i did set a timeframe though, and the deadline is drawing near (July '09, which will mark my 5th year), so we'll all see what happens afterwards.
