tayo sa sat...
I was just passing through, so I figured I'd leave my mark. Nice place you have here. I love the colors...
heheh! told you the "long-weekend" thingy was just coincidental...
anyway, Mom was the one who suggested this like 2 weeks back, but i kinda liked the idea. she wanted to watch the APO concert in Araneta Coliseum. so last Monday, i bought the tickets [as mentioned on my previous post] and i toiled long and hard during the workweek, looking forward to this fun weekend. we actually went to Araneta Center earlier [around 3pm, the concert would start at 8pm] 'coz it been a _really_ long time since Mom ventured around those parts. we had a huge-@$$ meal over at Teriyaki Boy in Gateway Mall [methinks the meal we had was good for 4-5 persons! lolz
] so afterwards we had to take a mandatory stroll at the Gateway Mall to pass the time. [and to let our tummies digest the foodz!] by 6pm, we were already waiting at the gates of Araneta Coliseum, 'coz we heard that the gates will open at around 6:30pm. so we got in, and waited until 8pm til the concert started. i even managed to take a quick nap while waiting.
the concert started at 8:15pm and ended past 11pm. it actually started with Raimund Marasigan doing a short rap about APO, so i guess he's the opening act. then some instrumental medley by the band then the three of them showed up. it was a blast! had lots of fun singing along with the songs i knew and listening to the songs that i don't. in between some of the songs they had some short skits about their experiences abroad, some anecdotes here and there, and basically poking fun at each other and at their friendship for 39 years. imagine that? they've been friends for 39 frickin' years! i can only hope that my friends and i would have something like that...
anyway, here's the wrap up from one of the members of the group, Jim Paredes. go here to view his blog entry.
