you might be wondering about the title of this post. well, in a nutshell, it's how friends are divided according to this post i read. (thanks shabby!) it's under the section Evolver and Connector. somewhat related, it also catgorizes the non-romantic relationships for humans:

Unknown: As the name suggests, you have no idea who the heck these people are
Acquaintance: You know who they are and that's that.
Colleague: You work with them or go to school with them daily and your interaction with them is forced due to the business/academic relationship.
Friend: You know them, and also do fun activities with them sometimes. Eg. go out for drinks. Friends can also be colleagues.
Partner in Crime: These people are the ones you hang out with a lot. So out of 50 friends, you may have five Partners in Crime.
Soul Buddy: Usually only one or two of your Partners in Crime are the ones you DO EVERYTHING with. You guys are constantly in contact over everything and are practically inseparable. Even if you split ways because you're going to different colleges or such, contact is always made and you meet up as often as possible.

i've had my fair share of friends; some have been relegated to acquaintances and colleagues; had one or two PiC's, but never a steady SB. i sometimes wonder, how would they (my friends) categorize me?
