steeling ourselves for the hardships to come..

finding love is never easy, nor is it hard.
each encounter we make, it will leave a shard.
not new to heartaches, that's what we are.
in times of sorrow, we look to the north star.
needing a fresh new start, we wanted to go far,
away from the suffering and pain that left a scar.

this is a new thing for us, we both know it.
